The Laboratory Space provides the most up-to-date facilities for "wet" research in the life sciences and is flexible enough to anticipate the changing nature of advanced research in these fields in the years ahead. The lab bench area is spacious, making it possible to easily allocate and reallocate space as the needs and interests of researchers change. Shared analytical and other support facilities for research is located in common areas for easy access. Lab space is available ranging in various sizes to meet the entrepreneur's needs.

Tissue Culture and Product Manufacturing (GMP) Facility
Located at Biotech Three Incubator

MBI offers a fully compliant NIOSH/CDC Biosafety Level 2 Laboratory facility at our Biotech Three site.

Clean room suites are accessed via vestibules with interlocked doors to provide air locked space for donning and doffing of personal protective equipment. Labs are equipped with certified chemical fume hoods and biosafety cabinets. Fire suppression systems, fire extinguishers, emergency showers and eyewash equipment are maintained throughout the facility.

Ancillary shared facility space provides an autoclave, dishwasher, and compressed gas storage. MBI offers a full service health and safety program to ensure that proper permits are in place (such as City of Worcester flammable storage, rDNA research and large scale pilot production), staff is trained per regulatory requirements, and hazardous and biological waste streams are effectively managed.

This facility also includes office as well as wet lab space in addition to the Class 10,000 rated Tissue Culture and Product Manufacturing suites. Security is restricted to authorized personnel via a secured card access system.
