Biocomputing Center

The Informatics Center provides cost-effective IT consulting, software engineering and biocomputing support to collaborating biotechs in the region. This includes shared high-performance biocomputing capability required for advanced application development.

Hardware
As an IBM technology partner MBI utilizes x-series compute nodes and high-speed secondary storage.

Software
The cluster operating system is NPACI Rocks, an open-source Linux cluster distribution.
