MBI offers a fully compliant NIOSH/CDC Biosafety Level 2 Laboratory facility at our Biotech 3 life science incubator

Clean room suites (approximately 1,400 sq.ft.) are accessed via vestibules with interlocked doors to provide air locked space for donning and doffing of personal protective equipment. Additional adjacent labs (1,450 sq.ft.) are also equipped with a certified chemical fume hood and biosafety cabinet. Fire suppression systems, fire extinguishers, emergency showers and eyewash equipment are maintained throughout the facility.

Ancillary shared facility space provides an autoclave, dishwasher, DI water and compressed gas storage along with CO2 access in all labs. MBI offers a full service health and safety program to ensure that proper permits are in place - such as flammable storage, rDNA research, and large scale pilot production. Staff is trained per regulatory requirements, and hazardous and biological waste streams are effectively managed.

This facility also includes attached office space (850 sq.ft.) to compliment the Class 10,000 rated Tissue Culture and Product Manufacturing suites. Security is restricted to authorized personnel via a secured card access system into this entire controlled area.
