MBI Biocomputing Center

MBI has established a commercial Biocomputing Center designed to accelerate the development of vitally needed research tools. The IBM eSeries cluster provides additional computing capacity for both biotech and bioinformatics companies within the MBI program.

MBI Endowment Fund: MBI seeks a 1% equity agreement from each “seed” tenant company to be used solely for the future development of additional laboratory space for the continued growth and success in establishing life science start-ups within our incubator facility.

Laboratory Electrical Power Usage

MBI Incubator Center Laboratories are equipped with adequate power for general incubator lab consumption and use. Extensive backup power is also available. All prospective client companies are required to provide MBI Health & Safety & Operations personnel a specific equipment list in order to gauge electric draw and outage. Any modifications or changes in equipment use during tenancy must also be reported. As a result of additional electrical use, power outlets or breakers may be needed and thus, extra charges incurred are the responsibility of the tenant for this added electrical work.
