Massachusetts Biomedical Initiatives (MBI) is a private non-profit corporation which provides life science incubator labs thereby supporting the growth and expansion of biotechnology and medical device companies, enhancing the status of Massachusetts as the world leader in the medical industry.

By creating the right environment for the biomedical industry to expand and grow, MBI has become a national model for leveraging public sector funds with private sector investments to fuel economic development.

Our Goal

Our goal is to assist in building the medical industry in Massachusetts by promoting the commercialization of our region's academic and science research to develop new biotechnology, medical device, and pharmaceutical companies. We encourage entrepreneurs and work with established companies to also expand existing operations. The bottom line: more jobs, a larger diverse tax base and accelerated health care research & development.
